Check out the Herald Brass online at their blog! Here you can also see highlights of their trip to Uruguay.
The Herald Brass was formed in 2003 when its founder, Douglas Enck, was invited to bring a brass group to Turkey for a cultural exchange. The group consisted of a brass quintet plus a pianist and drummer. They had so much fun playing together as they prepared for and traveled to
Turkey that they decided to stay together.
Since that time, several members have changed but the group still enjoys its original purpose - to play together for the glory of God. The quintet mostly plays throughout Southeastern PA. However, they have traveled to Ecuador in addition to Turkey.
A brass quintet is traditionally made up of two trumpets, a french horn, trombone and tuba. We have added a drummer and an occasional pianist to give the group a style that is their own. You can read more about each member of our group on our
musicians bio page.
The concert schedule is busiest during the summer around the fourth of July and during the Christmas season, although we book concerts throughout the year in southeastern Pennsylvania. The repertoire consists of classical, patriotic and sacred as well as a variety of other styles.
Check out our concert schedule to see if we are in your area. If not, you can purchase a CD of the Herald Brass. If you can't wait to see us in concert or hear us on a CD, then listen to our live music recordings. If you are interested in booking a concert or would like more information on our ministry, feel free to
contact us.
